Unique & Impressive Chess Set
Over 35 Years Old
The table is made of a 52 inch long by 32 inch wide and ½ inch thick slab of marble in green and white squares with a brown border on each end (to put the captured pieces) and is 21 inches high. It sits on a pedestal made of metal which has then been polished in gold.

The men are made of heavy metal/cast iron and are polished gold and silver.

As an indication, the Queen and King are 11 inches high and the Knights are 10 and 1/2 inches high at the top of the horse's head. As an indication of weight, the Knight is the heaviest and weighs 9 lbs. The minimum weight of each piece is 1 lb.

It depicts the Christians and the Moors as evidenced by the dress. Some of the pieces are loose (intentionally) like the spears of the pawns and the helmets of the bishops as well as the King's cape.

I believe this to be a "one of a kind" or at least a limited edition set but have no documentary evidence thereof. It is believed to be at least 35 years old and in very good condition.
